Scheduled Organizer Topic Updates

Organizer Topics can be scheduled to update at a specific time so that the report is ready for consumption. Some example uses of scheduled Organizer Topics are shift handover reports and monitoring reports that refresh by a scheduled time. Live Docs are still available for dashboards that update at higher frequencies.

Date Ranges in Topics can be either Fixed or Auto Updating. When using Auto Updating Date Ranges, they can update at a on a user-configured schedule whether they are open or not, or at a higher frequency.

Multi Select Content to Update in Organizer Topics

Multiple pieces of Organizer Topic content can be updated at once using a new table interface. Selecting the count of Seeq content from the left pane will open an interface to allow the user to sort and filter all the content in the Topic and select which changes to make to that selected content.

More functionality in View Only Mode

View Only links now include access to the Data Pane. Users accessing a View Only worksheet can asset swap, add or remove signals from the Details Pane, and access the formula details from Item Properties or Derived Data Pane.

Any changes made in View Only mode will not persist. Users who have access to edit the workbook can jump from View Only mode to editing mode with a new icon at the top of the screen.

Overlay Capsule Pane Information on Capsules

Any capsule property displayed in the Capsules Pane can be added as a label on the capsules. This can be used to for visualization in the Analysis or in Topics.

Condition from Scatter Plot Selection

A new tool has been added to create a condition from a single selection in Scatter Plot. More details on the Knowledge Base.

Some use cases where this new feature offers additional value are outlier characterization and sample clustering. Users can select an area on the scatter plot to create a new condition, then switch to Trend View to investigate other parameters when that condition is present.


Formula Updates

Several Seeq functions are updated in this release to help with consistency and ease of learning. Read up on the formula changes in this release.

The forecastLinear() function has been added to forecast a single signal forward based on that signal’s history. The inputs are a time period versus now to be used to calculate the prediction and another time period to specify how far to draw the prediction. Check out more details in the Formula Help on your Seeq server after upgrade.

Asset Tree Navigation for Children of Non-Asset Items

Non-asset items such as signals and conditions are now allowed to have children beneath them in an asset tree. This makes for easier navigation while still enabling the same asset swap functionality.

Additional CSV Upload Date/Time Formats

Day first dates and decimal separated dates are now supported, along with many others. See the full list here.


Audit Trail

This release completes the list of Seeq items GMP customers can audit with the appropriate license files. Administrators can conduct audits for changes on items from the Seeq server or through the API. Read more information on the Knowledge Base .

Configurable CSV Defaults

An administrator can apply appropriate server defaults to configure the CSV Import tool to open with day first dates or non comma delimiters. This is especially useful for non-US based Seeq servers, where csv formatting tends to differ from the default.
